Soon everything you eat, drink and smell will have a hint of Pumpkin Spice. This past weekend kicked off one of my most favorite sporting events, college football! Another special time is that of homecoming. While younger elementary children delight in buying school supplies, the older high school and college age students are consumed with the planning, excitement and glamour of the homecoming tradition. Girls start day dreaming if their crush will invite them to the homecoming dance or banquet and guys start wondering if they will have the courage to ask. Have you ever wondered how homecoming started and perhaps what all the hoop la is about? The tradition of homecoming can be traced back many years. It is usually a celebration of a football home game where the home team has is scheduled to play a less talented team so the expectation of a win is prevalent.
